Curt Roof Basket Review - 2021 Ford F-150- Video
How's it going everyone Today we are going to be taking a look at the Curt Cargo basket and how it fits on our 2021 Ford F-150. Typically, these are gonna be designed to fit up on your roof, but in our setup right now, we have this on our bed rack. Just gonna make things much easier to access without having to reach all the way up there. It's gonna work the same though, and we can take a closer look now at how it's gonna work. The basket's going to be made of black powder coated steel, so it's gonna be durable, rust and corrosion resistant. And that means that top and bottom rails, all these side rails, and the rails that run through to support our items are also gonna be able to be used as tie down points. more

How's it going, everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior, typically rooftop, Cargo basket and how it fits on our 2021 Ford F-150. I say typically because that is what it's designed for, but as you can see on our setup today, we have it on our bed rack, which is gonna be a great option for us because now if I want to be able to access these items without getting up on top of my roof, I still can, which makes it easier to work with. So let's check out how it works. It's called the SkinnyWarrior because it does not take up very much crossbar space at all. On our setup right now, we have 78-inch bars and we have well over half here. more

Maybe you just don't have room for them in the first place, but you want an option that's gonna leave you a ton of room on the other side of your roof rack system for other accessories. This is gonna be a really solid choice, so let's check it out. With this basket we have 165-pound weight capacity, which is pretty standard for most of the things that you're gonna be putting up on your roof, keeping in mind though that it also does have a weight of 23 pounds. more

Whether you're looking to make extra leg room for your passengers inside or there's just not enough room for the stuff you have, up top is the next best place to put it, especially if you've got the factory crossbars, which a lot of these Outbacks do have. This is gonna work excellent with those factory crossbars, which is good to know, because with those thinner bars, a lot of times other accessories may not work with them. more

So with the Atlas, we have a decent amount of storage in the back, but maybe we want some items up on the roof that might be just a little bit bulkier. Maybe they're gonna make a mess, maybe they're icy or snowy, or maybe you're coming from a beach or they're gonna be sandy or muddy and you'd rather that mess be up on the roof where you can clean it off easily than inside your vehicle. So let's check out how it works. The basket has a 165 pound weight capacity, which is about the standard, about as high as you're gonna get with something that you could put on your roof 'cause you have to factor in the fact that your crossbars, the feet for the crossbars, and your roof all have different weight ratings and the highest number is usually around that 165 number. more

The internal dimensions of the carrier are 41 and a half inches by 37 inches around and four inches deep. Now in general a cargo basket is a great way to carry extra gear whether it doesn't fit in the vehicle or try to make more space in the vehicle by getting some of that cargo out of the inside and put it up top or on the back in the hitch, whatever it might be. A roof mounted carrier is a great option if you already have something in the hitch, maybe a trailer or a camper, or maybe you've got a bike rack back there and you need some space for everyone's stuff, especially if you have the third row seats up in the Tahoe. That back cargo area is pretty small and if you've got the car full of people all those people have stuff, it needs a place to go. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima OffGrid on top of our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. Regardless of what cargo basket you're going for, it's a great way to carry some extra gear with you, especially with the Tahoe, if you have that third row seats up, your cargo space in the back isn't very large, and if you've got the vehicle fully packed with people, chances are if you're going on a trip or something like that, they're gonna have a lot of stuff, and you need somewhere for that to go. You could always go for a hitch-mounted cargo carrier, but maybe you've got a bike rack in there or maybe another hitch-mounted accessory like a ball mount for a camper. The next best place to put your stuff is up on the roof. Now, a lot of people like to go with an enclosed rooftop box, but a basket's really nice, because if you have anything that's messy or dirty, it's not going to get trapped inside, it can kinda drain out through the bottom of the bars, and we have the ability to carry some bulkier or oversized things that might not fit in a box with the lid closed. more

This is what you would go with if you also wanna carry around a bike rack or a kayak or even a rooftop cargo box. Howdy everyone. John here with the etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima SkinnyWarrior on our 2020 Chevy Equinox. This is gonna be a great choice if you want to get any of your longer items, especially clubs, firewood, skis, if you wanna get them from where you are camping to a place where you can actually use them. Now I'm planning on going on a trip to Colorado soon and something like this is gonna be right up my alley. I'm gonna be able to put things that may get a little bit wet, dirty, dusty, keep it out of my vehicle and keep it up on top where it can dry off. I'm planning on keeping a lot more of my camping and tent equipment up here because of that. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2020 Chevrolet Equinox- Video
Hi, there, everyone. John here, and today we're going to be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Cargo Basket on our 2020 Chevy Equinox. Now this is gonna be a great choice, if you have items that you wanna keep outside of your vehicle, maybe you have wet bags, camping equipment, you're taking a couple different trips to maybe go kayaking and you don't wanna worry about anything that you can keep on the top of your vehicle inside your actual cargo area. So we're gonna take a closer look at this and see how this may work with you and your Equinox. Now, whenever it comes to the cargo basket itself, it's going to be made out of steel, and it's powder coated, so it's gonna hold up to any rust and corrosion you may have to worry about. So that's, like I said, whenever you're wanting to put your wet items, your wet bags, any camping equipment that may have some water on it, you're not gonna have to worry about that corrosion. more

What's up everybody it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we gonna be checking out the Yakima Skinnywarrior, on our 2020 Jeep Gladiator. A little bit different today we've got the bars, the bedrock system from Yakima mounted onto our rails on our truck here so it's not going up on the roof, but that just makes it easier to access. Not to mention we got some cargo up here that we wanted to keep separate from the stuff in our bed, but you can see there's plenty of room for totes and a cooler down in the bed while it's up on this bedrock. So we've got the skinnywarrior mounted up here in place. It's on there really nice and tight. more

Yakima Roof Basket Review - 2020 Ford Edge- Video
Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby. And today we're taking a look at the Yakima off-grid roof mounted cargo basket here on our 2020 Ford Edge. So this is gonna be an excellent way of getting a little bit more of that cargo space inside of your Ford Edge, really freeing it up that way if you guys have any of those weekend trips, long summer trips, anything like that, really start making it easier to go ahead and actually sit inside your car without feeling cramps. Becomes a great way of to just keeping maybe some of your sports assessors outside of your vehicle. I know a lot of us probably have some kiddos starting to get in football and baseball, all that things, all those things, right Generating all that stinky clothes, we can go ahead, put those gym bags up on here, keep them from being inside of our vehicle, whatever need we have, right The off-grid is gonna let us carry it. more

Curt Roof Basket Review - 2020 Ford Edge- Video
Hey, everybody welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Curt roof mounted cargo basket here on our 2020 Ford Edge. So if you guys are looking for a way of just getting a little bit of that cargo out of your vehicle and on top of your roof, this is definitely gonna be an excellent way to do it. What's nice about it We're not gonna be breaking the bank, but we're still getting a very nice secure way of going ahead and latching on our cargo, that way it's with us whenever we get to our destination. Now the Ford Edge here doesn't have the worst cargo management out there I think it has a pretty decent back end of course, but as soon as you load up four people in a vehicle, it quickly fills up, especially, you guys are finding yourself on a longer road trip or something like that, especially fitting all the snacks in, so this is an excellent way of getting that bulky cargo out of there, freeing up some space. Secondly, it's really good for anything like sports activities, if we do have those big old gym bags or sets of football gear, soccer, whatever, baseball, we're setting in all that soiled linens on the inside of the vehicle, can definitely get a little musty, kind of get that smell, right. more
